Neutron radiography is a powerful nondestructive testing (NDT) method that can be used to detect flaws and discontinuities that may not appear as visibly, or at all, in an X-ray image. With neutron radiography becoming more accessible and finding use in more industrial NDT niches, knowing how to interpret neutron radiographic films will become an increasingly valued skill in the coming years.
Held at our imaging center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, the three-day Neutron Radiography Film Interpretation course blends theory and practical applications. This formal NDT training course is designed to meet the requirements of NAS 410 and SNT-TC-1A for the qualification of Level 1 or Level 2 personnel in the radiographic testing NDT method and focuses on:
This course is graded, and homework assignments will combine multiple choice and short essay questions. Class discussion and participation is strongly encouraged, and an end-of-course written examination will be given. Participants must score 70% or higher to pass the course.
NDT and quality assurance personnel of all levels are encouraged to attend.
This course is held at the Phoenix Imaging Center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
